Investment in hSo

hSo is a UK based company offering a range of IT and telecoms solutions for businesses and large property owners.

ARC Associates advised the Company on a fundraising in April 2001 to form the operation. Following the transaction, two members of ARC joined hSo’s board as Non-Executive Directors and one member joined as an Executive Director. John Allen was named Non-Executive Chairman and continues to serve on the Board.

Investors in the financing round were: The British Land Company plc, Canary Wharf Group plc, Legal & General Property Ltd, Morley Fund Management Ltd, Prudential Property Investment Managers Ltd, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Marconi Corporation plc (now owned by Ericsson).

hSo offers a range of services including:

1. Voice –end to end telephony system
2. Data Networking – broadband services
3. Data Housing – hosting solutions and online data backup
4. Security – secure remote access to corporate networks

Today, the Company is trading successfully, employs over 40 staff and has plans for expanding the business.

hSo remains in the investment portfolio.
